The Kingdom of God is full of wonder and mystery, full of beauty and love. Not the kind of love we are accustomed to, but unconditional love, a Jesus kind of love. The kind that embraces you just as you are and then holds on for eternity. Who wouldn’t want to enter that kind of kingdom? The Word of God says that all are invited into this kingdom; however, there is only one gate, only one way to enter. The way is through Jesus Christ, God’s own Son, crucified and risen again to purchase the souls of men.
The way is clear, all that is required is to confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, ask Him to forgive you for your sins and then repent (or turn from your old ways) and trust Him. It is that simple.
If you have never considered Jesus before I’d like to suggest praying this prayer. Be open to God and invite Him in.
Dear God, here I am. You know me. You know all my ways. Please forgive me for shutting you out. Now I ask you Lord to come in. I invite you into my life. I repent of my sins and ask for your forgiveness. I believe, by faith, that Jesus died on a cross for my sins and rose from the dead to purchase my salvation. I want to start fresh. I am ready to give my life to you. I am ready to begin the adventure that you have planned for my life. Holy Spirit I ask you to come and fill me with your presence. Be my guide all the days of my life. In Jesus name…Amen.
Praying this prayer invites God into your life. You may be wondering why the Creator of the universe needs to be invited when He could very easily impose Himself on us and take what He wants. Yet He chooses instead to be invited. Without our request He will not enter in, but when you pray, you can expect Him to show up. In fact you should prepare yourself for daily encounters with God. He has an awesome plan for your life; a plan to prosper you and not harm you, a plan to give you a hope and a future. Are you ready for the greatest adventure you have ever known?
